Personal data means data about you. This includes your name, your address and your email address. You do not have to provide any personal data when you visit our website. In some cases we need your name and address as well as further information in order to offer you services that you have requested. The same applies when we supply you with information material that you have requested or when answering your enquiries. In such cases, we will always inform you of this. Furthermore, we only store the data that you have automatically or voluntarily transmitted to us.
If you use one of our services, we generally only collect the data that we require to offer you the selected service. We may ask you for further information, but this will be on a voluntary basis. Whenever we process personal data, we do so to provide you with our services or to pursue our commercial goals.
Automatically stored data
Server log files
This website automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transfers to us. This includes:
- Date and time of the request
- Name of the requested file
- Page/site from which the file is requested
- Access status (file transferred, file not found, etc.)
- Web browser and operating system used
- Full IP address of the computer submitting the request
- Volume of data transferred
These data are not combined with data from other services. The data are processed pursuant to Article 6 (1)(f) GDPR on the basis of our legitimate interest in improving the stability and functionality of our website.
For technical security reasons, in particular to prevent attempts to attack our web server, we temporarily store these data. We are not able to deduce the identity of individual persons through this data. After no more than seven days, the data are anonymised by truncating the IP address at the domain level, so that it is no longer possible to link it to individual users. These anonymised data are also processed for statistical purposes; they are not compared with other data sets or shared with third parties, not even in part. The number of page views is only shown as.
Google Analytics with anonymisation function
We use Google Analytics on our website, a web analysis service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, hereinafter referred to as “Google”. Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, text files which are saved on your computer and which enable analysis of your use of our website.
The information which is generated by these cookies, such as time, location and frequency of your website visit, including your IP address, is transferred to Google in the USA and saved there.
We use Google Analytics on our website with the “_gat.anonymizeIp” add-on. In such a case, your IP address is truncated by Google in Member States of the European Union or in other Member States of the European Economic Area and, as a result, is anonymised.
Google will use this information to evaluate your use of our site, in order to compile activity reports of the website for us and to provide further services which are connected to the use of the website and use of the Internet. Google may also transfer this information to third parties, should this be required by law or should third parties process this data on behalf of Google.
Should you visit our page from a mobile end device (smartphone or tablet), you will have to click this link instead, in order to prevent the tracking of this website by Google Analytics in the future. This is also possible as an alternative to the browser add-on mentioned above. By clicking on the link, an opt-out cookie is generated in your browser, which is only valid for this browser and this domain. Should you delete the cookies in this browser, the opt-out cookie will also be deleted, which means that you will have to click on the link again.
If you have consented to Google linking your web and app browsing history to your Google Account and using information from your Google Account to personalise the advertisements served to you, Google will combine your data with Google Analytics data to provide target group lists to create cross-device remarketing. To do this, Google Analytics will initially track your Google-authenticated ID associated with your Google Account (that is, personally identifiable information) on our website. Afterwards, Google Analytics will temporarily combine your ID with your Google Analytics data to optimize our target groups.
If you do not agree, you can opt-out of this through the “My Account” section of your Google Account.
We use Google Fonts (https://fonts.google.com) to improve the visual presentation of various elements of information on our website. So that they can be used to display a page, the web fonts are downloaded into the browser cache when a visitor accesses our website. If the visitor’s browser does not support Google Fonts or their use is denied, the text is displayed in a standard font. No cookies are stored on the visitor’s device when a page is opened. Data that are collected when requesting a page are made to resource-specific domains, such as fonts.googleapis.com or fonts.gstatic.com, so that requests for fonts are separate from and do not contain any credentials that may be sent or used in connection with other authenticated Google services, such as Gmail.
You can change the settings in your browser to prevent fonts being downloaded from Google’s servers (for example, by installing add-ons such as NoScript or Ghostery for Firefox). If your browser does not support Google Fonts or you deny access to Google’s servers, the text will be displayed in the standard system font of your device. Find out more about the terms and conditions of privacy of Google Fonts: https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq#Privacy
