Hellmann Rail Eurasia connects Nuremberg to Chengdu and other Chinese cities

Nuremberg to the West Chinese city of Chengdu in 15 days with the new Hellmann Intermodal Train

Nuremberg, 28 October 2015 – An intermodal train now connects Nuremberg to the West Chinese megacity of Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan province. The cities of Guangzhou, Xiamen, Shanghai, Kunming, Changchun, Shenyang, Beijing, Qingdao and Dalian can also be reached. The operator of ‘Rail Eurasia’ - incidentally, now the fourth intermodal train link between Germany and China - is Hellmann Worldwide logistics. The container train takes 15 days to complete the around 10,000 km long journey to China, travelling via Poland, Russia and Kazakhstan - the southern route of the so-called ‘Iron Silk Road’. The first container train from Chengdu arrived at the TriCon container terminal in bayernhafen Nürnberg on 27 October 2015.
